Sanjay Mathur is a Partner at Accenture and is the Director of Accenture Technology Labs – Silicon Valley, the R&D organization within Accenture.  He is also the global director for the Labs' Analytics and Insight R&D program.  The Labs’ Analytics and Insight R&D is aimed at solving four key challenges in using new data sources: acting on data in real time, working with probabilistic data, exploiting unstructured content, and semantic integration. 

In his role as R&D lead, Mr. Mathur heads up a global team that explores emerging technologies and creates business-relevant Insight applications to help Accenture clients “see” new aspects of and take action upon their business and competitive environment.  In addition, he works with clients in creating strategies to capitalize on these innovative applications.  Mr. Mathur also directs the “go-to-market” group at the Silicon Valley Lab.  In this role he focuses on helping the laboratory make new connections between leading technology organizations and clients that are intrigued by the business opportunities these technologies may hold.

He is recognized as an expert within Accenture in the areas of applied business analytics, machine learning techniques, predictive analytics, content and knowledge management, privacy, trust and identity management and rights management.  During his career, Mr. Mathur has worked with clients in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, high-tech, government and utilities industries.  He has also worked with a number of Internet startups.

Mr. Mathur joined Accenture in 1995 after receiving a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Prior to joining Accenture, he worked in the manufacturing and nuclear industries.

Hector M. Martin

Professional Background

Hector has over 35 years of extensive experience in managing large-scale bank and data processing operations. Mr. Martin served at IBM as a Project Executive responsible for a two year, $10 million systems integration and applications development project. He directed 25 IBM, sub-contractor and Bank project resources in the delivery of a Check Image Archive solution at Chase, with sites in Texas, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. Prior to joining IBM, he served as Senior Vice President & Senior Operations Officer with Manufacturers Bank in Los Angeles, responsible for all bank operations.

He has served with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco as Vice President and Manager of the 12th District Computer Operations and as Vice President of Operations of the Los Angeles Branch, and he spent two years with Bank of America as Vice President & Manager of its Global Custody Services Division, and with Crocker National Bank as Assistant Vice President responsible for Computer Operations statewide.

His wide range of experience and knowledge includes database systems to support customer service centers, document storage and retrieval, implementation of the Viewpointe check image system at Chase, application development and systems integration, and internal process improvement. He also served as Senior Operations Officer for a twelve branch bank with over $1 billion in assets, managing the bank’s Branch Operations, Trade Finance Operations, Wire Transfers, Centralized Customer Services, Cash Management Support, Network/PC Support, and Facilities/Administrative Services.

Hector began his banking career in the Item Processing Department of Crocker Bank. He started out as a trainee computer operator and progressed through the ranks. Prior to his move to the Federal Reserve Bank, he managed Crocker’s two computer operations centers located in Los Angeles and San Francisco. The centers provided services to 365 branches and all major divisions of the bank.

Hector completed undergraduate studies at Havana University, Havana, Cuba. He is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
